2 new paintings

I have a new painting for sale now in my Etsy!  Finally finished and ready to go home to someone's collection.  The other I am still unsure if I want to sell.  My hubs loves it.  http://www.etsy.com/listing/75191137/when-childhood-ends?ref=pr_shop

Work Work Work

I have been swamped it would seem.  I had surgery in February and it has taken some time to get back to where I need to be.  I have started painting again and I have a few in the works.  My newest is entitled "the Guardian of the Nest"  This is a 16x20 oil painting on canvas.  It is for sale for $150.00 and comes sealed and ready to hang.  The pictures do not do it justice.  The white color throughout is the flash from the camera.  The painting itself is very rich and beautiful.
The next painting I am working on is currently untitled.  This is simply a work in progress .  Also 16x20 oil on canvas.  I look forward to completion as I am enjoying the product already.  Thanks for looking!  and enjoy your day.

It's been a while

Long days at work leave little time for me to play.  I have not been doing much creating however I am sketching some new ideas that I hope I will have time for very soon.   Along with the snow storm we had last night and the bitter cold that follows  I have all day at home today.   Then it's off to take my niece and nephew sledding.  Who could ask for a better winters day?  Blanket of white snow and two eager kids ready to slide down a hill for hours. : )  Hot cocoa evening here we come!

Lots of Knitting and a New Job

I am not loving the economy right now but who really is.  I was laid off from my job in 2009 and it has been a heck of a year trying to find work.  Yesterday I became the newest Wal Mart employee.  While it may seem mundane and not really glamourous, I look forward to getting back out into the workforce.

It has turned cold here in the last day or so and I have been knitting and knitting and knitting.  I try to squeeze in some time for ornaments which I am working on but hats have been selling in my Etsy like hotcakes.

Luckily I am a fast knitter.  : )  So that brings us to what I have been working on lately.

This doesn't include the three I sent out the other R2D2 hat I made for my hubby and the mohawk hat I have on the needles right now.  I love that I am getting busy again.  Have a great day everyone!

wow! been a while

well as I sit here enjoying my glass of Chardonnay I realized I have not been on here for a while.  Believe me there are good reasons.    Halloween is such a big holiday in our house and we have been busy getting ready for our annual Halloween party.  Trying to get my adorable hubby to find a costume that is "just right"  was  a trick that we have finally accomplished.  YAY!  My costume is still laying in pieces waiting patiently to be assembled.  I am going as Marie Antionette after the beheading!  So daily I have sought out the perfect dress for the ensemble and finally caved and realized I just have to sew one.     Staring at the pieces today made me realize this is going to be one amazing costume!  Or was it when I was standing in my living room with my top half wrapped in duct tape?  Nothing kinky here I was making a torso for my headless costume!    So to all my friends out here in blog land that is what I have been working so hard on lately!  I hope to have more stuff up soon for you to enjoy!

Happy Haunting!
